Larry and Cheryl Waye joined the DBC pastoral staff from Rochester, NY where Larry ministered for 22 years at the First Bible Baptist Church. During his tenure he served in almost all positions of the local church, including Director of Music, Public Relations, Northstar Bible Institute, Sunday Schools and Adult Ministries. Most recently he was the Director of Outreach and Development of the 88 acres Grace and Truth SportsPark.

Larry was saved as a child, surrendered to the call of God to ministry in 1971, and has ministered in churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Illinois and New York, serving in every capacity of church work including Senior Pastor over the past 34 years. It is his desire to help people grow into spiritually healthy and balanced followers of Christ.

Cheryl trusted Christ in 1989 has ministered to hundreds of families during the 16 years she served as a teacher at the Northstar Christian Academy, a ministry of First Bible Baptist Church. She continues to have that impact on families as she teaches in the Decatur City Schools.

Larry and Cheryl currently lead our Adult Singles Ministry and Larry teaches in the newly formed Decatur Baptist Institute which meets on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
