FAMILY LIFE PASTOR

Danny Holmes serves as our Family Life Pastor which includes Small Groups from birth to senior adults. Small Groups is the Encourage element of our church. He was saved at an early age and always knew that God had something special for his life. In 1994, Danny and his wife Gail first started attending Decatur Baptist. Those early years at the church were full of learning about God’s Word and serving others in various ministries. Between 2000-2004, he came on staff full-time as the Children’s pastor.

Danny and his family were sent out in 2004 to pastor churches across North Alabama. He returned later to his home church to complete the ministry that God has given him of restoring the family unit. 

Danny holds a BS in Business Management from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University and a Master of Business Administration from Corban University. 

Danny and Gail have three children; Ty, Trent, and Tessa. Danny is a very committed family man and enjoys anything outdoors with his family.
