MUSIC PASTOR

Rex and his wife, Dawn, moved from Charlotte, N.C. to the Decatur area in 1982.

Rex holds a B.A. in music from Tennessee Temple University, an M.A. in theology and a D.Min. from Louisiana Baptist University. Dawn holds a B.S. in education from Tennessee Temple and Liberty University, a M.Ed. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dawn has also earned National Board Certification.

Rex serves as the praise and worship pastor. In addition to his music and media responsibilities, Rex enjoys teaching and training others in discipleship. Rex’s life verse is Galatians 2:20. He enjoys grilling, golf, fishing and other outdoor activities with his family.

Rex and Dawn have two married sons and five grandchildren: Mason and Amanda Terry who reside in Austin, Texas with their daughters Georgia and Abigail, Madison and Angela Terry and their sons, Hudson, Haddon, and Madi Claire who reside in Gardendale, Alabama.
