ARE YOU 100% CERTAIN THAT IF YOU DIED TODAY HEAVEN WOULD BE YOUR HOME?

God has provided a simple way for you to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and know that heaven will one day be your home! The Bible tells us in Romans 10:13 that, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So, the question becomes how do you “call upon the name of the Lord?”

ADMIT that you are a sinner.

God is holy, perfect, and righteous; we are not (Romans 3:10). God makes it clear that Jesus is the only one who has ever lived a sinless life. Every person on the earth has sinned, including you.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23

Sin separates us from God. What we have earned because of our choice to disobey God is separation from God. Even though we deserve to be separated from Him because of our sin, God offers us the gift of eternal life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23

BELIEVE that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins and rose again!

Jesus came to earth to pay the wages of our sin. He literally died in our place and went through separation from God so that we would not have to. He rose from the grave on the third day and is alive today! Eternal life is found only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. – 1 John 5:11

CONFESS Him as Lord of your life.

Accept the gift that God has offered you! This means that you are willing to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord of your life. To confess Jesus as Lord means that you believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you are willing to surrender and submit your life to Jesus.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. – Romans 10:9

A prayer is not what “saves” you. Your salvation is based on your willingness to put your faith in Jesus and call upon Him as Lord and Savior of your life. It is you meaning and believing these things in your heart.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. – Romans 10:13

Are you willing to put your faith and trust in Jesus? If so, you can simply communicate this to God. Here is an example of how you can ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life:

Jesus,

(Admit) I know am a sinner and have not lived in a way that honors You. I am sorry—please forgive me.

(Believe) I believe You died to pay the penalty for my sins and that You rose again on the third day, defeating sin and death.

(Confess) Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Help me to live for You. Thank You for the assurance that I can go to heaven when I die.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
